École Notre Dame Elementary
Indigenous Peoples Atlas of Canada
The Indigenous Peoples Atlas of Canada provided a hands-on and visual learning experience for students at ÉNDE.
Students have a better understanding of the geographical and historical context f treaties, fostering respect and awareness of Indigenous rights, and land stewardship.
This aligns with Priority Two: Student Growth and Achievement.
Catholic Christian Prayer Chains
Staff and students are reminded daily of the power and significance of prayer through the Catholic Christian Prayer Chains hanging throughout the school.
This activity also fosters a sense of community and shared spirituality among students, aligning with Priority One: Catholic Christian Identity.
Living Rosary
In alignment with Priority One: Catholic Christian Identity, the school community came together to participate in the Living Rosary. This sacred event, through song and prayer, displays the school’s collective devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Jump Rope for Heart
The entire school participated in Jump Rope for Heart, an initiative that fosters community spirit while promoting cardiovascular health among students/
In addition to taking part in physical activity, this program is deeply rooted to charitable giving.
Jump Rope for Heart also teaches essential life skills such as teamwork, perseverance, and empathy, as students come together to support the American Heart Association.

Dr. Brosseau Middle School
Track and Field
Students showcased their talents during Track and Field Day at Walsh Field, with many students advancing to wards and districts.

Fort Buckingham
Grade 7 students stepped into the shoes of fur traders during a trip to Fort Buckingham. Through role play, students bargained for furs, learning about Canada’s history and economics,.

École Notre Dame High School
Celebrating Graduating Class of 2024
Friends, family, and the École Notre Dame High Community came together to celebrate our graduating class of 2024.

Smile Cookies
Staff were serving up smiles during Tim Horton’s Smile Cookie Day.

Holy Cross Elementary School
Battle of the Books
Each year, students in Grades 4 to 6 participate in Battle of the Books, spending months preparing for the competition.
This event is a partnership between public libraries and schools in the Cold Lake region, and aligns with Priority Two: Student Growth and Achievement.
Catholic Education Week
The school community showcased the Catholic faith during Catholic Education Week through a variety of activities. This included holding class prayer in the chapel, attending Mass at Assumption Church, a visit from Bishop Gary Franken, and a school-wide walk to show our support for Catholic Education.
All of these activities align with Priority One: Catholic Christian Identity.
Poetry Slam
Students participated in the first Holy Cross Poetry Slam in May, where each class chose poems to memorize and prepare to share with the school in a choral speech format.
Over three days, all students gathered in the gym to share their class poems with the school.

St. Dominic Elementary School
Catholic Education Week
St. Dominic celebrated the essence of Catholic Education recognizing the invaluable role it plays in nurturing young minds academically, spiritually, and emotionally.

Living Rosary
Continuing with the theme of Priority One: Catholic Christian Identity, the school united in prayer through a Living Rosary, inviting honoured guest Bishop Gary Franken to join and share a few words.
Face to Face
Students participated in the Face to Face Retreat, reflecting on how they can live out their beliefs with purpose and intention.

Assumption Jr/Sr High School
Graduation
Everyone came together to celebrate the graduating class of 2024. This year’s theme was Starry Night.

MHM Carnival
Students were reminded about the importance of mental wellness during the school’s annual Mental Health Matters Carnival.
The school’s MHM Student Leadership group planned events structured around their mental health strategies for the year including Loopy Ball, a visit from the Lakeland Humane Society, and glitter tattoos

Light of Christ Catholic School
Spring Concert
Students demonstrated their talents during the school’s Spring Concert, which featured instruments, songs, artwork, and more.
The Parent Council also raised funds through a bake sale, Ribbon Skirt Raffle, and Quilt Raffle in support of the school’s year-end field trips.

Face to Face
It was a day filled with faith and worship as students participated in the Face to Face Retreat, where they learned about the importance of knowing God, loving God, and serving God.

Spring Carnival
Students were reminded that Mental Health Matters during a Spring Carnival hosted at the school through the LCSD Mental Health Matters Campaign. Activities ranged from bookmark making, parachute games, and rock painting.

Holy Family Catholic School
Catholic Education Week
The school celebrated Catholic Education Week through various activities including prayer cards, teacher bookmarks to each student, and a staff appreciation lunch hosted by the School Council.

Science Fair
This year, the school Science Fair was full of unique projects including catapults, engines, and other fascinating topics.
First place winners in each grade walked away with certificates and a prize.

Graduation
Three students walked across the stage to accept their diploma as the graduating class of 2024.
