❄️ Winter Weather & LCSD School Days ❄️
As winter weather sets in, we want families to feel informed and supported when conditions change. Our Transportation Department monitors road conditions, visibility, extreme cold, and weather warnings early each morning, with conditions assessed daily at 6:00 a.m.
On winter weather days, bus cancellations may occur, while schools remain open, and learning continues for students who can attend safely.
When morning bus cancellations occur, an afternoon transportation update will be provided if conditions are expected to change. In cases of severe or sustained extreme cold, bus cancellations may remain in place for the full day.
Timely updates are shared through the Bus Status App and social media channels.

🎄 What a joyful way to wrap up our Advent Social Justice Project at École Notre Dame Elementary! 🎄
Throughout Advent, our students showed incredible generosity by bringing in donations to support the Bonnyville Friendship Centre. Together, they helped build a “Giving Fort” made entirely of donated items — all with one big goal: to see just how much kindness our school could stack up!
This meaningful challenge reminded us that even small acts of giving can come together to make a big difference for others.
Thank you to our students and families for living out the true spirit of Advent — serving others with great love. 💛

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas Spirit Week has officially begun! Time to spread that Christmas cheer.

Sunday Gospel: Jesus did not come to gain earthly power. He came among the people to serve them, bringing life.
Third Sunday of Advent - JOY: This week we are asked to share joy, because Christmas is so close. Joy is a deep, happy feeling that we can share by smiling, singing and being thankful.
