Sunday Gospel - "Feed My Sheep" - Jesus asked Peter to restore and lead His church. Jesus asked His disciples to throw their nets back in the water when they were tired and did not catch many fish. In the same he is asking us today, to let go of the control that we seek and put out trust in Him. To be vulnerable and rely on Him.

De la même manière, il nous demande aujourd'hui de laisser tomber le contrôle que nous recherchons et de mettre notre confiance en lui. D'être vulnérables et de nous en remettre à lui.

Merciful and loving God, We come before You with hearts full of gratitude and sorrow as we remember Your servant, Pope Francis. You called him to be a shepherd to Your people, a voice for the poor, and a sign of Your mercy to the world. As we entrust him to Your eternal care, we ask You to welcome him into the joy of Your heavenly kingdom. Grant him peace, and give us strength to carry forward the light of his witness. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Prayer for the Church: As we commend Pope Francis to Your mercy, we pray for the Church he loved and served. May the Holy Spirit guide those who will choose the next pope. May the Church continue to shine with the light of Christ, inspired by Pope Francis’s life of service, humility, and love.

Legacy of Hope: Pope Francis encouraged us to be messengers of hope in a broken world. Through his words and actions, he reminded us that the Church is a place of welcome, joy, and new life. May his legacy live on in our hearts and guide future generations toward Christ.

Sunday Gospel - The gospel this week tells us of the story of Jesus appearing to his followers after the resurrection. He does this to show us how important it is that we believe Jesus is the Messiah, sent from God. That Jesus is and was to bring peace and God's spirit to us all. That the reason Jesus did what He did was to help bring people closer to God and believe in him.

Strength in Suffering: We reflect on the physical, emotional, and spiritual burdens Pope Francis carried with patience and trust in You. In times of illness, misunderstanding, and the weight of leadership, he remained faithful. May he now be free from all suffering and rest in the embrace of Your peace.
